Big Brother Renewed

Big Brother Renewed for Seasons 19, 20

CBS is giving Big Brother fans a steady stream of the good stuff.

The voyeuristic reality addiction has been renewed for a 19th and 20th season, the network announced Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Season 19 will air in the summer of 2017 and Season 20 will air in the summer of 2018.

CBS also recently announced a special fall edition of Big Brother, which will begin streaming on CBS All Access shortly after Season 18 wraps on Sept. 21. This new installment is expected to run shorter than others (about 10 weeks) and will feature an entirely new crop of houseguests.

UPDATE: Julie Chen is now confirmed to host the All Access version of Big Brother.

So BB on CBS All Access won’t be BB19???

  2. ncmacasl says:

18B (online) then 19 & 20?? Do they not know how to count?? or is this considered “webisodes” so not really a “Season” or Big Brother Online Edition – Season ONE!!

    • AndrewKarr says:

Big Brother is on CBS… so the season that isn’t on CBS is not a season. It won’t be the same show. It will be different. So, no it won’t be 18b or 19… it will be Big Brother Over The Top.. a CBS Access Special.

  3. Lola says:

Yeah I definitely figured the online edition was bb19. Weird. So will this be the ‘lost’ season?

  4. Karen says:

Of course it has been renewed. Julie is married to the boss.

  5. Michael Summerset says:

Will both be online or just season 19? Of course the summer renewal is pretty much automatic at this point. As long as Survivor is around they’ll keep BB around. It’s summer filler.

  6. GuessWhat says:

so is the fall edition called BB18B?
    ha

  7. BrittBrat says:

They need to fire their casting director and pick better people.

Why is this garbage still on?

    • AndrewKarr says:

Why are you commenting about it? You must care a little to take time out to comment. So, leave the negativity for something else, no need for it here.

  9. Leanne says:

Julie is worst host ever..her voice is like fingernails on a blackboard..other worst host is Americas got talent..show is ok but they could use a GOOD host. watching no tv is better than Big Brother

    • AndrewKarr says:

Hmm.. interesting that you think that. You must watch the show, to know about Julie Chen. So I guess, you’ll be watching the next seasons as well. Stop with the negativity.

this is awesome. to clarify because everyone can’t seem to understand the articles. the big brother online only series is a separate expansion of the BB brand. it will be a separate show all together as it only airs online. BB19 will air summer 2017 and BB20 will air summer 2018.

  11. Kevin says:

Myself knows the show won’t return it it’s glory days of more than twenty somethings with some thirty somethings and a TOKEN 40 year put in, the old big brother season 2 – 11 had better age groups and the drs were so much more real. Today’s big brother are more like MTV’s real world but thats what most people what – showmances and twenty something people hate watching old people.

I’m from Canda so I don’t think we have access to the feed, so I won’t be watching it.

  13. Jan says:

That really sucks, I have been watching since the beginning, I pay $145.00 per month for my satellite service and now to continue I have to pay more. So sad to NOT to watch them all. Doesn’t CBS make enough now?

  14. Anna EdwRds says:

Nope won’t watch it that takes internet access. I just don’t think that’s right. Not fair to older people with no internet

  15. jj says:

do these people. think everyone in the world has internet? a@@holes

  16. Mildred O'Connell says:

    Yes, I’ll watch it

  17. Li says:

It is terrible cbs wants veiwers to pay to watch bb19. Makes me want to not watch any of cbs’s shows on television.
