TVLine Items: Legends Adds JSA Vet, UnREAL Bachelor Joins Pitch and More

Legends of Tomorrow‘s Justice Society of America is starting to take shape.

The CW superhero series has tapped Matthew MacCaull (iZombie‘s Max Rager hitman Sebastian Meyer) to play Henry Heywood, Sr., aka Commander Steel, EW.com reports.

The character is a member of the JSA and the grandfather of Dr. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel (new series regular Nick Zano).

The Arrow/Flash offshoot introduced the JSA element with its freshman finale, when Patrick J. Adams showed up as Hourman. As announced at Comic-Con, there are plans to also cast Stargirl, Dr. Mid-Nite and Obsidian.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 premieres Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8/7c.

  1. Butch says:

Maybe there will be a JSA spin off, though the CW is running out of days where they could run it unless they run 2 DC series on the same night.

  2. Joey Padron says:

Glad they cast Commander Steel. Looking forward to scenes with him and Nick’s character Nate together in new season. Good news B.J. Britt will be back on TV soon. Can’t wait to see him on Pitch show!

  3. Vince says:

Oh that crazy guy who had blood fetish.
