Ratings: Big Brother Hits 3-Week Highs, Edges Out AGT for Wednesday Win

CBS’ Big Brother this Wednesday drew 5.8 million total viewers and a 1.8 rating, ticking up week-to-week to edge out America’s Got Talent for the nightly win.

Closing the Eye’s night, American Gothic (2.5 mil/0.5) was steady.

Over on NBC, AGT (9.1 mil/1.7) ticked down week-to-week. The Night Shift‘s double-pump did 5.2 mil/0.9 and then 4.7 mil/0.8, both down from last week and with the second hour tying a season low in the demo.

ABC’s coverage of the CMA Music Festival (5.5 mil/1.1) added a few eyeballs versus last year while matching the demo rating…. Fox’s MasterChef (3.7 mil/1.1) ticked up… The CW’s Penn & Teller (1.4 mil/0.4) was up a tenth, while Whose Line (1.4 mil/0.4) was flat.

The Night Shift is such a great show. I really hope we get a season three.

CBS might want to rethink moving the next season to All Access if the ratings are doing well. Probably less lucrative on that platform.

What’s funny about that is on the twitter feed #BB18 people are complaining constantly about how much they hate this cast and they are boring, etc. But yet the ratings are good. Most people I’ve seen there are not happy about the new season only airing on All Access.
