Lucifer Cast Talks Mum's 'Anger and Resentment' — Plus: Tom Ellis Raps!

When the drop-dead-gorgeous Tricia Helfer was cast as Lucifer’s “mum” for Season 2, it was inevitable: D.B. Woodside and Tom Ellis “both feel a bit like Stifler” these days, the latter actor admitted when the Fox series’ team stopped by TVLine’s Comic-Con studio presented by ZTE.

Though the emergence of Oedipal undertones is hardly a shock, the show newcomer told Michael Ausiello that, in fact, Charlotte would be full of surprises when the show returns on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8/7c. For instance, she hasn’t always been so hot. And, in spite of “some anger and some resentment… and hard feelings,” she loves her sons and does possess a maternal side.

Not that that will stop her from raising hell to, as Helfer so cryptically put it, “get back what was taken from her.”

Also in the video Q&A above, the gang discussed the show’s “saving grace” and the difficulties of working with “such an unattractive cast,” and, as promised, Ellis busted out a devilishly cute rap.
