RNC Trump Speech Ratings

Ratings: RNC Ends on High Note, Bones Ticks Down With Finale

The Big 3’s coverage of Donald Trump‘s nomination acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention totaled 12.3 million total viewers and a cumulative 2.6 demo rating (per finals), up 23 percent from Night 3.

Versus Mitt Romney’s closing night speech in 2012, the RNC’s broadcast numbers were up sharply, though CBS aired Big Brother that evening instead.

Night 4 totals, with cable viewership folded in, will be updated later this evening.

Elsewhere in the Thursday ratings….

FOX | Bones (3.7 mil/0.8) dipped 14 percent and a tenth with its Season 11 finale; Home Free (1.6 mil/0.4) ticked down to season lows.

CBS | Big Brother (5.7 mil/1.7) slipped to a Thursday low for this cycle.

THE CW | Beauty and the Beast (730K/0.2) was flat.

ABC | BattleBots (3.1 mil/0.7) and Greatest Hits (2.9 mil/0.7) each dropped two tenths.

NBC | The Spartan finale (3.3 mil/0.9) was down a tenth.

Big Brother was aired an hour later than it’s regular time slot in my area and then was delayed 45 minutes on top of that. Not surprised ratings were down.

Does anyone watch Home Free? I loved the first season, but I stop watching season 2 after the second episode because it was all drama instead of focusing on people building and learning how to build a house. Did it get any better (i.e., did it stop focusing on drama and switch back to building homes)?

In the bay area Bones wasn’t completely shown. They didn’t air it later after the RNC like CBS and ABC instead once the RNC was over Bones just picked up where it was. Who wants to come in when the show is almost over? Will watch on OnDemand today…

Bones wouldn’t have ticked down if it hadn’t been interrupted. Such morons at FOX

I managed watching Trump for fifteen seconds before I had to change the channel. Apparently I’m allergic to sociopathic cretins.
