The Strain Stars (Including a Rappin' Setrakian!) Recap the Scares-to-Date

Now, this doesn’t suck.

With Season 3 of The Strain almost just a month away, the FX horror drama released at San Diego Comic-Con a video in which Kevin Durand and David Bradley (who play Vasily Fet and Abraham Setrakian) approach show boss Carlton Cuse with an alternative to the dry “Previously On The Strain…” recap clips.

Cuse is bearish on the notion, but boy, are his actors up to the task.

Along with Miguel Gomez (who plays new recruit Gus) and some sexy (?!) strigoi, Durand and Bradley launch into an “infectious new beat,” titled “Vamps Boom!” (Durand and Gomez penned the lyrics for the viral ditty, while Bradley’s rap was written by exec producer Regina Corrado.)

Give the tune a spin above, and see if it puts the vampire drama in a whole new, funky light.

Season 3 of The Strain premieres Sunday, Aug. 28 at 10/9c.

I hate waiting longer this year for the season premiere! It’s taking too looooong!
    Love you the video 😂😎👍🏻

  2. Katie_Mead says:

That might just be the best thing Kevin Durand has done since Dark Angel‘s Joshua (and let’s face it, that talented guy hasn’t been a let-down in anything in between). Probably the first time I’ve seen him singing & dancing, though.

That was so much fun. I can’t wait until it’s back again. It’s been a long summer without it.
