Salem Season 3 Trailer: 'A Great Terror' Coming Along With Mary's Resurrection

If we can have Christmas in July, why not Halloween, too?

Ahead of Salem’s Comic-Con panel this Friday, WGN America’s supernatural drama has dropped an eye-popping, FX-heavy full-length trailer for Season 3 (set to kick off the week of Oct. 31).

Among the tricks and treats teased by the clip are Mary’s inevitable resurrection, a shocking hookup for Anne (sucks to be you, Cotton) and the mother of all conflicts. As the show explains, Season 3 “dawns with the triumph of the witches’ plan to remake the New World by bringing the devil to earth and making Salem his capital.

“But… instead of a New World free from murderous Puritan hypocrisy, his own plan will bring nothing but death and slavery with the ultimate aim of leading humanity to destroy itself.”

What can be done to keep Satan from raising hell? “You must kill your son,” aka Lucifer, a worse-for-wear Tituba tells best frenemy Mary. So, yeah, that ought to go well.

Best supernatural show on TV. Hands down

  2. Jason says:

I just wonder how anyone thought raising the devil was going to turn out swell. Hmm…Maybe there was a middle ground between Puritans and Satan himself.

Can’t wait for this show to come back!! I think October is the best month for it to return like TWD and Grimm.
