Impastor Season 2 Trailer: Buddy Dobbs Raises Fresh Hell, Revives Old Flames

The first season of TV Land’s Impastor may have ended with Michael Rosenbaum’s irreverent reverend in police custody, but don’t expect to see him donning an orange jumpsuit in Season 2.

In fact, as you’ll see in TVLine’s exclusive trailer, the new season — premiering Sept. 28 at 10:30/9:30c — looks like business as usual for Buddy Dobbs: He’s still keeping up appearances at church, still trapped in a weird triangle with Dora (Sara Rue) and Alexa (Mircea Monroe), and, of course, still enjoying a little Ashley (Lindsey Gort) on the side.

But Season 2 isn’t completely without its fresh share of complications; not only are the cops keeping closer tabs on Buddy — who they suspect could be an “opposite guy,” whatever that means — but he also has a friendly-looking fella named Ray breathing down his neck. And occasionally pushing him off bridges. You know, like friends do.
