Ratings are likely better since a good chunk of the nation was fighting fog or rain for the fireworks and people didn’t want to get out.

For me, it was the big brother live feeds that I opted for over facing the on and off rain, humidity, heat, and absolutely brutal mosquitos. If Zika makes it here, we are screwed. They are so bad this year.

i would like to see Houdini and Doyle get another (essentially summer) season.
It does reasonably for a summer show and is entertaining.

How mean of FOX. I would have liked to have seen the finale of Houdini and Doyle, but it WAS the 4th of July ! (Not all of us have DVRs or cable.) And I didn’t see any rerun/repeat listed. I guess Fox is trying to kill it.

I like Houdini & Doyle. A formula show, but entertaining. Like the interaction between the main characters. Hope it gets picked up. I agree with another poster, it would be a good summer show.
