Hamilton Co-Stars Cover Arthur Theme

A couple of the stars of Hamilton: An American Musical weren’t content just singing the praises of PBS Kids’ Arthur — they went and sang the kids show’s theme song, too!

Anthony Ramos, who plays John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Tony-winning Broadway smash, and Jasmine Cephas Jones, who plays Maria Reynolds and Margarita “Peggy” Schuyler Van Rensselaer, performed the Arthur theme — which Ramos called “Arthur after dark” — in a short clip posted to Instagram.

To Jones’ delight, Arthur approved. When the series tweeted out their video, saying their version made it “a wonderful kind of day,” she flipped, responding, “My childhood is freaking out!”

Take a listen, then hit the comments. Is the Arthur theme your jam, too?

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

At first I thought you meant the movie Arthur. I was expecting to hear” When you get caught between the Moon and New York City” :)

For reals. Although as an 80s kid who still watches Arthur (its almost been on 20 years now), I appreciate this version too.
        .
Of course now I can’t stop picturing LMM rapping the movie song and I kind of want that to happen now.
