Mazel tov! Amy Poehler and Sean William Scott are having a baby — sort of.
NBC has ordered from Poehler’s production company a pilot for The Baby, a comedy in which Scott will play the youngest made man in an otherwise-all-female crime family, our sister site Deadline reports. Although on the job his character is as tough as they come, after hours, he gets bossed around by his mother and — yikes! — seven big sisters.
“Amy is one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking voices in comedy,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said of the Saturday Night Live and Parks and Recreation alumna. “We’re very excited to work with her on The Baby.” For those keeping track, Poehler’s production company is also behind Comedy Central’s Broad City and Hulu’s Difficult People.
What do you think? The Baby sounds like fun, no? Who would you cast as the mom?
