Nashville Juliette Dead Alive

Dead or Alive: Nashville's Juliette, Plus 16 Other Characters in Grave Danger

Death’s Door is looking awfully crowded these days.

In addition to the dozens of confirmed deaths from the bloodiest May sweeps in recent memory — at least 57 significant characters met their untimely end — several of our favorite shows wrapped their seasons with key players’ lives still hanging in the balance.

Just think of Nashville‘s Juliette Barnes, whose plane lost contact with air traffic control 90 miles from Nashville, a thinly veiled reference the death of Patsy Cline, whom Juliette played in a biopic. Or Jane the Virgin‘s poor Michael Cordero, Jr., who was shot in the chest just moments after swapping “I do”s with the CW drama’s titular virgin.

And these are just two of the 17 characters we’ll be fretting over all summer. Heck, there are an additional 11 from The Walking Dead alone! (Remind us to never play Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, OK?)

Browse our gallery of characters in limbo below, then cast your vote and drop a comment: Whose fate has you most concerned?

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  1. Wordsmith says:

Michael looks like he’s sneezing in that screen grab.
I suppose “sneeze face” probably would look a lot like “shot at point blank range face.”

  2. Boris says:

I’m only concerned about Cersei’s fate right now, hope she makes it out alive

  3. Winter says:

You left out Sterling Archer. Was it him floating in the pool or another cyborg?

    • Wordsmith says:

That would be a real twist if they killed him off and the next three seasons his mom becomes the main character, or they bring in a never-before-seen sibling.

  4. Chad says:

With possible budget cuts on the way for Nashville due to their move to CMT, coupled with Hayden Panettiere’s ongoing treatment for postpartum depression it’s not inconceivable that it may be RIP Juliette Barnes.

  5. Miranda says:

Definitely Juliette, given her ongoing personal health dealings and such. And Rhonda – there’s less potential for fret if her character survives versus Anika, though I hope it’s Anika that’s over the edge.

Anyone who’s actually fearful that Sam is going to be dead on Supernatural when the series is about the brothers is incredibly ridiculous.

  6. Larc says:

Since it’s fairly rare that any of those whose fate is left hanging in a season finale actually turns out to be dead (especially major characters), I’m not really worried about any of them.

  7. bigdede says:

There’s no way Rhonda is alive unless her head is a huge whoopi cushion.

  8. Salemisgreat says:

Not sure why they counted the walking dead characters separately instead as one group.

Anyways, I’m worried about the fate of Tituba and Mary sibley on Salem. They are badass characters and hopefully Titubia will just be blinded and Mary finds some way to survive.

None. Even if Sam Winchester dies, he’ll be back soon enough, someway, somehow. And I don’t watch any of the other shows (Although if I watched Nashville, I’d probably worry about Juliette, given the network move and Panetierre’s battle with depression. So I hope however that decision turns out, they focus more on what’s good for her than good for the show.)

  10. Ella says:

Rhonda and Michael. I don’t want either of them to die. Sam f***ing Winchester will be fine, who are we kidding?
