Alan Ritchson Blood Drive

TVLine Items: Smallville Vet to Syfy, Game of Thrones' XL Finale and More

Former TV Aquaman Alan Ritchson will be a far cry away from Atlantis in Syfy’s near-apocalyptic Blood Drive.

The Smallville alum has joined the cast of the upcoming grindhouse cinema-inspired series, which centers around the last good cop in Los Angeles (played by Ritchson) and his dangerous femme fatale partner.

Ritchson’s Arthur Bailey is a former officer who is forced to join the Blood Drive, an underground death race in which the cars run on human blood.

  1. Joey says:

Having a GoT episode run slightly long doesn’t make up for all of the episodes that ran short this season.

  2. Shaun says:

Can’t wait for Marco Polo and GoT

    • lechatnoir says:

Plus Marco P is binge ready. I wish GoT was in the same format. Its hard to wait seven days until the next episode.

  3. Gerri says:

He was a great Aquaman. Movie Aquaman will be good but much more broody. This Blood Drive doesn’t sounds exactly up my alley. But maybe I will try.

  4. tallsy says:

I’ll give Blood Drive a shot. When is I Can Do That coming back and with what celebs?

  5. Kevin K says:

So excited about the season finale of GoT extending to almost 70 minutes and next season is going to have just seven episodes instead of ten.

  6. I really like the sound of Blood Drive, it’s exactly the sort of show I’d watch. However I can’t risk getting involved in anything new on Syfy given their history of cancelling decent shows. I’m on tenterhooks with 12 Monkeys, as are many of us, and I can’t go through that again. They seem to forget about promoting any shows in their second season then cancel when people forget to watch and ratings plummet. Nobody wants to watch unfinished stories.
