Ratings: Red Nose Day Down vs. 2015, While Drawing Bigger Dollars

NBC’s broadcast of the second Red Nose Day fundraising special drew 2.2 million total viewers and a 0.6 demo rating on Thursday night, down 31 and 25 percent from last year while soliciting 50 percent more donations (totaling $31.5 million).

Opening the Peacock’s night, Strong (2.6 mil/0.7) was up a tenth.

Over on ABC, 500 Questions opened Season 2 with 5.2 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, followed by 4.9 mil/0.9 — down in the demo from last year’s in-season debut (5.1 mil/1.2), but more on par with its year-ago, post-sweeps numbers (4.6 mil/1.0).

Fox’s Bones (4.5 mil/0.8) drew its largest audience since Dec. 10 while dipping a tenth in the demo with its first post-sweeps outing. American Grit (1.8 mil/0.5) also ticked down.

CBS’ Big Bang Theory rerun easily led Thursday with 7.2 million total viewers and a 1.4 demo rating.

Bones did adjust up. Nice to see at least their HH numbers rise a bit. Good episode I am happy they are staying near their numbers Hope they can keep those numbers until July.
