J.J. Abrams Gives Chewbacca Mom Tips During Carpool With James Corden

Save for maybe a first-class ticket to Kashyyyk, this is as good as it gets for Chewbacca Mom.

Candace Payne, who went viral after live-streaming her reaction to trying on a Chewbecca mask and thinking it was the funniest thing she had ever seen, was invited to carpool with James Corden and Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. While the Late Late Show host stressed about getting to work on time, Abrams was more concerned about giving Payne a few tips for perfecting her Wookiee impression.

Later in the show, Corden shared a clip of the moment Payne met Abrams, then relayed a message from the real Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew:

Watch the carpool atop the post, then scroll down to hear Mayhew’s message for Payne.

Wow, she really needs a tv show or a regular segment on a show. She has such a natural presence in front of the camera. That bit in the van with James and JJ was hilarious.

BTW, technical aside here. My iPad seizes up when I use Safari to access tvline.com. I have an iPad Air, so it should not be out-of-date.

Chester, I too have an I-pad air and yes I am having the same issues. I basically have to shut it down and start over. I am not sure what is going on.

I am also having the same issues with my IPad Air. I wrote to TVline a week ago about the same issue. Glad to see its not just me.

The site has numerous problems, not just with Ipad. Have two or more copies open in Thunderbird and it keeps seizing up. Not to mention the sloppily placed ads that often cover half the text when you zoom in. Its just a not very well made site. Also, that womans hould have crqashed her car into a wall to rid the world of that incompetent buffon Abrams.

Oh my gosh that was hysterical. I could not stop laughing. She has the hardiest and infectious laugh and I just wish the whole world was like her.
