TVLine Items: Sherlock's New Foe, Preacher Gets After-Show and More

Toby Jones is relocating from Wayward Pines to London’s Baker Street.

The British thesp has signed on for Sherlock‘s upcoming fourth season, playing a major baddie.

Though the specifics of Jones’ role are being kept under wraps, executive producer Steven Moffat said in a statement that the actor will be “bringing to life one of [Sir Arthur Conan] Doyle’s finest villains.”

Jones will pop up in the second episode of Season 4.

* Following select episodes of AMC’s upcoming drama Preacher, Chris Hardwick will host the live after-show Talking Preacher. The first installment will air Sunday, May 29, at 10:30/9:30c, following an encore presentation of the series premiere; Episode 2 will air after the season finale on Sunday, July 31, at 10/9c.

* History Channel’s Navy SEAL drama SIX — starring Barry Sloane (Revenge) and Walton Goggins (Justified) — will premiere Monday, July 18, at 10/9c, the cabler announced Monday.

* HBO has released a teaser for Any Given Wednesday, its upcoming weekly talk show hosted by Bill Simmons, premiering Wednesday, June 22, at 10/9c. Watch it below:

      No, wait, he was done under a different name already. Never mind. He’ll be fine as any creepy old swindler, and there are plenty of those in the canon.
