Chicago Fire Season 4 Video

Chicago Fire Sneak Peek: Has Otis Been Replaced... For Good?

Oh my!

Those are the first (breathless) words that come to mind upon laying eyes on the strapping Chicago Fire hunk (played by Aubrey Marquez) who steps in while Otis is on medical leave.

In this exclusive video from Tuesday’s episode (NBC, 10/9c), Otis visits the firehouse and gets his first look at his replacement, Malcolm Ferguson — all six-plus feet of him. As if the newbie’s physical prowess and camaraderie with the team weren’t reason enough to worry for his job, Otis then learns that Connie “handpicked” the floater.

So is the firefighter permanently out of a gig? Press PLAY below to find out, then hit the comments with your thoughts on Otis’ competition.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

These videos never play on my iPhone. What’s up with that?

  2. grazelled says:

I think they’re just messing with Otis. This is just a short scene in what I guess is a larger one of his visit to the firehouse.

  3. Eileen mcdonnell says:

Won’t play in my country apparently aghhh

  4. Sally McLinn says:

Doesn’t Otis have some life threatening disease?

  5. Bwhit says:

They have to be messing with him, they were way too high on this guy and that is not like 51.

  6. che says:

It’s so racist. Whenever someone is on leave they replace them with a latino/latina.

    • Bob says:

That’s not even remotely the definition of racism. Not to mention that actor is definitely black.

  7. Jeri says:

I think Otis will be back, If they like the new guy they’ll find a way to keep him too.

  8. lenore says:

No!!! I love Otis!! The new guy is handsome but I love Otis!

  10. Teena says:

The new guys a big fella, but I think they need to leave Otis’s character alone !

  11. Maryanne Maisano says:

One cannot simply replace a beloved Chicago firefighter like Otis with a temporary eye candy calendar boy. This firehouse is family and Otis is a a brother, You don’t kick a man when he’s down. Family sticks together!

  12. Elizabeth Forsythe says:

Otis is family. New character is too much into himself. Don’t write Otis out like they did Mills.

  13. Lisa G says:

They have to hang onto Otis, loveable boyish charm!..Changing original cast members often looses fans!..Baba was hysterical too!…I met him in person and he is a cool guy!

  14. allan kroepfl says:

  17. James Mann says:

He looks awesome I hope they keep him AND Otis they could be friends that would be hilarious. Also explore more of Otis’ story as well. And they could use Malcolm for a million and one things… Is he mute btw?

I’m so happy to see Aubrey Marquez growing as an actor. He is truly a natural. I was first wowed by his performance when he starred in my indie film. I knew then he would be headed to greatness. This was a great article to bring sunshine on this rainy day here in Chicago. 5/9/16
