Saturday Night Live: Fred Armisen, Drake Hosting Final Season 41 Episodes

Saturday Night Live called Drake on his cell phone, which can only mean one thing: He’s heading back to Studio 8H!

NBC on Wednesday announced that the Degrassi grad will serve as the host and musical guest for the May 14 episode (11:30/10:30c), marking his third appearance on SNL. He made his debut in 2011 as Anna Faris’ musical guest, then returned in 2014 to pull double duty.

Additionally, SNL is welcoming back former cast member Fred Armisen (2002–2013) to host the May 21 season finale; Courtney Barnett will be his musical guest.

As previously reported, Brie Larson will host the May 7 episode, joined by musical guest Alicia Keys.

man this ends a rather dull season of SNL

    • Kevin K says:

IKR. Going to be disappointed if Kyle Mooney stays next season or maybe the new guy in Jon Rudnitsky.

  2. Kevin K says:

So excited for Drake as he makes his second stint as host and musical guest on SNL May 14th. Bummed they didn’t booked a return gig for Kristen Wiig who’s promoting the new all female version of Ghostbusters. Why not have celebs who haven’t hosted for next season like Jessica Chastain, Margot Robbie, Liam Hemsworth and maybe James Spader. Also, musical guests like Fifth Harmony and James Bay among others.

  3. A.D. says:

Epic Fail of a season and not getting Deadpool to host!

  4. John says:

I hope this means we’re getting more Garth and Kat

  5. cuius says:

Quickly read the article headline and thought it referred to “final season” and inwardly cheered; then realised it was just the end of this disastrous season

  6. Joey Padron says:

Happy Fred is gonna be hosting the show for first time! Good Drake is gonna be hosting the show again.

  7. As long as Fred does his Prince thing, and they bring Maya back as Bey.

  8. More Robert Durst impersonation, please. (But not by Drake)
