Ratings: The Amazing Race Hits Season Low, Shark Tank at 10-Week High

CBS’ The Amazing Race this Friday drew 5.6 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating, down a tenth in the demo to a season (and what appears to be a series) low.

Leading out of that, Hawaii Five-0 (8.3 mil/1.1) was steady, while Blue Bloods (9.9 mil/1.2) dipped a tenth.

Elsewhere in the ratings….

NBC | Pending adjustment due to an NBA preemption in Portland, Grimm (4 mil/0.9) is currently flat.

ABC | Leading out of a rerun (4 mil/0.8), a fresh Shark Tank (5.6 mil/1.4) rose two tenths in the demo to a 10-week high.

THE CW | Vampire Diaries (1.06 mil/0.4) was steady, while The Originals (930K/0.4) is currently up 9 percent and a tenth.

FOX | Hell’s Kitchen (3.1 mil/1.0) rose a tenth week-to-week but was off a tenth from its previous finale.

  1. Are Grimm rating accurate since it was preempted in Portland due to the Blazers game?

    Amazing race is a joke
They put in a double u turn to get rid of the strongest team
And they have non elimination rounds at inconsequential times to save a week team twice
If you have a u turn it should be a non elimination round and that would cause tension
Best teams should compete until the end
    Production should not dictate outcome

I sometimes suspect they have these non elimination rounds to save weak teams too. The favorites seem to be picked from the beginning. The race should be truly fair.

I’ve also noticed that the extras that some of these weak teams have to do are pretty easy to complete.

Let’s say they did remove the non-elimination points and the u-turns. What would happen if your favorite or liked team could have been saved by the non-elimination or the u-turn? What then? Ah…it’s all luck! Quit your whining and enjoy the show. Now I would assume the ratings went down because the perceived liked team was Zach and Rachel. If the ratings went down again, I suppose the Brodie team was also a favorite.

Low ratings imagine that!! WTF what did you think was going to happen when you put it on a Friday night? I figured that was your way of killing a good TV show. It was just fine where it was.So what did you fix?nothing!!?Of course shark tanks ratings were higher there on an hour later and a different network… what are you trying to do, justify your stupidity?
