Bella Thorne's Famous in Love, From PLL Boss, Ordered to Series at Freeform

Freeform is ready to commit to Love with Bella Thorne.

The network on Thursday announced that it has given a series order to Famous in Love, a new drama starring the Shake It Up vet from Pretty Little Liars scribe I. Marlene King.

Based on Rebecca Serle’s novel of the same name, the forthcoming series follows a girl (played by Thorne) who is plucked from obscurity to star in the film-franchise adaptation of a popular book. Soon enough, she finds herself in love triangles both on- and off-screen while dealing with the pressure of becoming Hollywood’s latest It Girl.

King co-wrote the pilot with Serle, who will serve as a co-executive producer on the project. Thorne’s other TV credits include MTV’s Scream adaptation, HBO’s Big Love and Fox’s Red Band Society.

While I hate what I. Marlene King did to PLL because i really loved those books and had such high hopes for that show, I do like that premise. So I may watch the pilot just to see how she messes it up.

Disney graduates another alum from Disney Junior High to Disney Prep. In five years, she’ll go on to a Shona Rimes series on College Disney

None of the people currently on Shonda’s shows were Disney stars, so you sound silly (especially considering half of them were college-aged by the time Disney shows became a thing).
