Grimm Renewed Season 6

Grimm Renewed for Season 6

Delightful news for Grimm: NBC’s supernatural drama has been renewed for Season 6.

“We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement. “They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”

Grimm this season has been averaging 4 million total viewers and a 0.9 demo rating on Friday nights — numbers that swell 61 and 90 percent with Live+7 DVR playback, to 6.4 mil and 1.7.

In TVLine’s recent Keep or Cut poll, 81 percent of those who had an opinion voted to KEEP Nick, the Scooby Gang and their Wesen foes.

    SQWEE!!! So happy

  4. suksf says:

    yay! made my day

  5. Hot damn! Thank you NBC for doing the right thing!

  6. wrstlgirl says:

YAY!!! But please get rid of Eve/Juliette for good this time. I don’t understand why they brought her back in the first place. She’s not necessary to tell this current story.

      • Elaine says:

So happy Grimm has been renewed. I agree get rid of Eve/Juliette. She has never added anything to the show. Bring Trubel as regular. Nick needs help

    • Btm says:

I *love* Juliette, and I’m looking forward to seeing the payoff to the arc that started last year. Even before she transformed last season, I thought she was smart, decent, braver than she knew, and living a well rounded life of her own.

I hope she stays for good, in some form.

    • Valerie says:

I like Eve but I’m sure glad Juliette is gone, lol

    • Elaine says:

I am so thrilled to look forward to another season of GRIMM! Thank you, NBC. And, yes, just please get rid of Eve/Juliette. At least she’s better as Eve – never liked Juliette.

    • Cal says:

Yes. I really enjoyed the first part of the season when she was “dead”. Eve is slightly more tolerable than Juliette…but that’s not saying much. Hoping that they either kill the character for good or send her to fight Black Claw somewhere. But I doubt that will happen unless DG/BT break-up in real life.

    • vp says:

I love Juliette and most especially Nick with Juliette.

    • mooshki says:

I’m another one who likes Juliette. She really polarizes the viewers!

    • Eliza says:

Keep Juliette. Better yet, bring back the ACTUAL Juliette in a satisfying and interesting way, and make the team actually deal with the decisions they made that led to Eve happening.

If the show should lose anyone, it should lose Adalind. I love Claire Coffee but her storylines have been the most unnecessary part of the show since season two.

      • Jorgon says:

I feel you sis, In Skinn Deep, Adalind scene is completty unnecessary…

      • Cynthia Miley says:

You guys would be fools to cancel this series. I hadn’t watched it at first, then one Friday night I thought I would give it a glance. I was hooked the moment the characters changed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES AND HAVE SPREAD THE WORD TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. This is by far the Best Series on TV now. I never miss an episode. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THIS SERIES. EVER….HEHEHEHEHE I mean really it’s an awesome series with ALL of it’s twists and turns. I even love the Nick/Adalind story line. Who else would he be with but the baby’s Mother, come on guys.

  7. Mary Kelly says:

YES! Love glad it has been renewed…<3

  8. Kat says:

Whew! I was bummed when I read that Grimm may be cancelled. So glad to read it’s been renewed for Season 6! Just focus on the keys Grimm writers and give us more creepy Wesen!!!!!

    • ragnar51 says:

“Just focus on the keys Grimm writers and give us more creepy Wesen!!!!!”

An excellent idea, and please bring back Trubel next season as well!!

  9. Murica! says:

    Fantastic news!!

  10. Kathy B says:

I love the show. So happy it is renewed.

  11. aboutnici says:

    I’m so happy, thank you!

  12. Btm says:

Just adding a “Yay!” To the comments.

  13. justsomeguy says:

Finally some good news! The show has never been better, imo.

  14. BCsDave says:

Not completely surprised as its owned by NBC though its live numbers made it worrisome for a while.

  15. KayCeeCee says:

Yay!! There has been so much movement in the storyline this seasons, I hope that they keep it up!

  16. Ann Wang says:

This is great news. I must say I don’t like this story line of Nick with Adalind together. I rather see Adalind being evil.

  17. Kevin K says:

This makes me happy. Wouldn’t rule out if next season is going to be its last.

  18. Sherri says:

You just made my Tuesday night!

  19. william says:

love this show. great story lines and cast. one of the best casted shows on tv in my opinion. long live grimm!

  20. Valerie says:

    Best news of the day!!

  21. Mak says:

This does not bode well for TMOL…

  22. Avinash says:

Exactly what is the hate around Eve/Juliette?

    • JenJ says:

I like Eve, but don’t like what they did to Juliette, so I’d rather keep her as Eve. I’m kinda liking what’s going on with Nick & Adalind, don’t know what to expect. I find it interesting especially with all of their bad history. Makes for great storyline!

    • mooshki says:

She’s not the greatest actress, but the guy who plays Nick was pretty bad to begin with as well. I think they’ve both improved quite a lot as the show has gone on. I didn’t care much for her in Season 1-2 or so, but now I really like her.

  23. Laura says:

    Thrilled to see another season

  24. Tups says:

Yay Bring on the next season Love it ☺

  25. Diane says:

Yes I am happy and I really would like to see Truble become a full time cast member.

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE SOOOOOO HAPPY!!! In fact, this is pour a glass of wine and make a toast to fabulous news kind of happy! A great call NBC!!! Now…if only Fox would renew Second Chance. It’s another quirky show we LOVE.

  28. Lianne says:

  29. Jason says:

I’m relieved but I was also hoping they would announce it as the last season. If they don’t plan for an end, eventually the rug will be pulled out from under them. I never care how long a show runs, just that it gets to end on it’s own terms.

  30. Alex Jones says:

pleasantly surprised, the ratings haven’t exactly been good.

    • canadian ninja says:

Good is relative, especially on Friday.

Glad for the renewal but didn’t really expect NBC to uproot a stable Friday performer.

  31. Kim Stege says:

I’m so happy that Grimm gets to live on.

  32. Ramona Malcom says:

  35. Aimee says:

Great news. I love the show and i was suffering thinking that this was going to ne the lasr of them.
    YAY NBC! Kudos for you.

  36. Dennis says:

David Greenwalt’s show has officially outlived Angel, his other show.

  37. di says:

    Yeahhhhhh–great original show.

  38. vp says:

What a relief, love the show and cast.

  39. becky beegle says:

I’m so excited and happy grimm is back for season 6 I’ve watched from the beginning and this is the only show that I own all the seasons that is on dvd

  40. Kiwi3 says:

So glad we’re getting another season!
I think that with the layered storylines with more of an ensemble cast and not just being about the “wesen crime of the week” allow for so many different story opportunities.

It’s one of my favorite shows.

  41. copyjopipay says:

grimm is a unique show with an unmatched cast chemistry it deserves to be renewed!!

    • rowdyred says:

Especially the guys. Each is a completely realized individual, from Nick to Wu. The amazing Silas Weir Mitchell is perfect as Monroe the reluctant Blutbad (and for that matter Bree Turner as his Fushbau wife Rosalee is also perfect). Actually, the whole cast works for me (I don’t share the “Bitsie” hate). What a wonderfully original show!

  42. Paisley Parker says:

    Yay!! Thank you NBC. :)

  43. YES!!!!!!!! Thank gawd, I was getting worried :D Thank you, NBC, Grimm could easily have the longevity of Supernatural (oh for a network crossover!)

  44. retsim says:

Great news .Grimm is just about my favourite show .Keep it coming .

  45. Robert Houghton says:

I loved Grimm but I don’t need to see what perilous complications they can throw. I would just like it more if they would just wrap up each episode happily and Nick still was with Juliette.

  46. nina says:

  47. Amanda says:

I am so relieved! I have a list of favs, Grimm, The Blacklist, Criminal Minds, and Supernatural…but at this point Grimm is my favorite. I records all reruns, and own all seasons on DVD…no I’m not addicted…

  48. Bonnie says:

Best decision that was ever made by NBC. Hooray for “Grimm” night, it lives on
