Sharknado 4

Sharknado 4's Star Wars-Inspired Title More Clever Than Anything in 3rd Movie

No April Foolin’ here: Syfy has revealed the title for its fourth Sharknado movie, and it’s taking inspiration from one of cinema’s biggest blockbusters.

Sharknado: The 4th Awakens will premiere on Sunday, July 31, at 8/7c, the cabler announced Friday.

The two-hour original movie will pick up five years after last summer’s Oh Hell No! three-quel, with Ian Ziering’s Fin enjoying a sharknado-free existence… until the natural disasters begin cropping up in expected places.

As previously reported, Tara Reid will return to reveal the outcome of the #AprilLives or #AprilDies social campaign, as will Sharknado 3 stars David Hasselhoff and Ryan Newman. New faces for The 4th Awakens include Gary Busey (playing April’s dad), Cheryl Tiegs (as Fin’s mom), Tommy Davidson, Imani Hakim, Cody Linley and Masiela Lusha.

I was hoping the title would be “Shark Wars” in which sharks with lasers on them fight each other…. in space!

This joke is starting to get old, but I’ll probably watch. Hopefully it’s funnier than 3. -_-

Tara’s acting is on par with these films and only adds to the hilarity. #SaveTarasCareer
