Freddie Prinze Jr First Impressions Host

Freddie Prinze Jr. to Host USA Network Competition First Impressions

USA Network has found someone to emcee its upcoming contest for budding impressionists, and he’s all that.

Freddie Prinze Jr. will host First Impressions, a forthcoming unscripted series featuring Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey, the network announced Friday. The half-hour battle will have aspiring impressionists undergo a series of challenges, with the studio audience determining each week’s winner.

Carvey will be the “expert-in-residence” helping contestants hone their mimicry skills; he’ll be aided by a bunch of celebrities, including Steve Carrell and Kate Flannery (The Office), Jay Leno (The Tonight Show), Kevin Nealon and Jon Lovitz (Saturday Night Live), Tom Arnold (Roseanne) and Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, The Odd Couple).

Prinze’s TV credits include 24BonesWitches of East EndPsych and the short-lived ABC comedy Freddie. He also voices characters on the animated series Star Wars Rebels.

First Impressions premieres Tuesday, May 10, at 10:30/9:30c. Will you watch? Let us know in the comments!
