Buffy Vet Anthony Stewart Head Joins Freeform Murder Mystery Guilt

Guilt just became a family affair.

Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has been cast opposite daughter Daisy Head (The Syndicate) on Freeform’s forthcoming soap, TVLine has learned.

The murder mystery finds Grace Atwood (Head), a young American women, accused of viciously murdering her BFF while in London. The Buffy vet will assume the recurring role of James Lahue, Grace’s charming stepfather who just so happens to have ties to the victim.

Vinyl‘s Emily Tremaine also co-stars as Grace’s sister Natalie who teams up with lawyer Stan Gutterie (Titanic‘s Billy Zane) to scour all levels of London society — from deviant sex clubs to the Royal family — in search of the truth. As the investigation intensifies, Natalie begins to wonder whether Stan might be keeping secrets to protect her stepfather, whose business practices have never quite been above board.

Cristian Solimeno (Rush), Naomi Ryan (Guardians of the Galaxy), Kevin Ryan (Copper), Zachary Fall (Crossing Lines), Simona Brown (The Casual Vacancy) and newcomer Sam Cassidy round out the cast.

Stewart Head’s other TV credits include Dominion and Merlin.

Does Head’s casting pique your interest in Guilt?

Always happy to see Anthony Head around

  2. Bella says:

I love Anthony Head, but not interested in Amanda Knox story.

    • johnhelvete says:

Being inspired by something, in this case Amanda Knox, and making a fictional story based on that case as a starting point is not the same thing as doing the “Amanda Knox story”. Procedurals do that all the time.

  3. BrightLight says:

Yep, my interest has indeed piqued. Actually I’ve always been intrigued by the Amanda Knox case, so I was going to watch anyway, but now I want to watch it even more.

Ugh, Freeform. Well, work is work I guess.

  5. Z says:

Meredith Kercher can’t rest in peace I guess.

  6. Steven says:

I saw his picture and thought he passed away. We’ve lost a lot of great actors and actresses in the past few weeks. Thank god he’s ok.

  7. Will says:

Why is her real life father (whom she resembles because… genetics) playing her stepfather rather than a biological one?

  8. MTMSLG says:

    What is a Freeform?

Hey Anthony, This Network rudely pulled Buffy episodes for good back in December. Us fans have protested them and stopped watching. Horrible network choice to join a show on.

    • Steven says:

It’s on Netflix or get the DVDs. There are plenty of ways to watch the show. No need to ban an entire Network for not airing reruns.

      • chadcronin says:

They also Pulled Dawson’s Creek. Both right in the middle of their runs instead of letting them finish. They also canceled the. Severely delayed Switched at Birth. They canceled almost every show early, Twisted, Kyle XY, The Lying Game, or forced shows into ending earlier than planned like Wildfire. So no I am am wishing for their success. In fact I canceled cable last week as promised.

Sounds good; I like Billy Zane.

  12. Will we have another marathon for guilt for people who didn’t watch it yet .
