Gotham Sneak Peek: Penguin's New Family Serves an... Intense... Dinner

Tonight on Gotham (Fox, 8/7c), Oswald breaks bread with his new family, and the menu includes a chilling ghost story, a romantic-ish anecdote and a generous helping of glares.

As seen in the exclusive sneak peek above, Oswald’s long-lost and recently discovered father, Elijah Van Dahl (played by Paul Reubens), spins a haunting yarn about his sprawling home’s unsettling history. When Oswald then nudges Dad to share how he met his wife Grace (The O.C.‘s Melinda Clarke), the lady of the manor oddly bristles at the notion — only to be overruled.

Press play above to hear the “meet cute” tale… and see how it surfaces tensions among Grace and her own children.

Elsewhere in the episode “Prisoners,” Gordon must rely on a new friend as he faces threats and dangers inside prison walls.

  1. Dave says:

    I love the casting here.

  2. Larc says:

Any Penguin-centered episode is good with me. Robin Lord Taylor does a fantastic job in that role.

Right on. But its not just the Penguin, pretty much every villain on the show has been awesome. With the exception of Fish who I can’t stand and am absolutely not looking forward to coming back unless its one episode and done for good. And I’m reserving judgement on BD Wongs character.
The one person I think who was absolutely miscast is Gordon. I’m totally not a fan of his interpretation of the role, from the awful voice to the continuous constipated look no matter what emotion the scene calls for.

  3. Couch Mom says:

Yes-I love Penguin and Paul Reubens as his dad. Hope that Mr. Van Dahl stays around for awhile.

  4. Joey Padron says:

Good sneak peek clip. Glad Oswald is getting to know his dad and new family who don’t like him and plan something bad for him.
