Gilmore Girls Revival: Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop Reunite in On-Set Photo

Rory and Emily Gilmore are reunited — and it feels so good.

Tanc Sade — who will reprise his role as Finn in Netflix’s forthcoming Gilmore Girls continuation — shared a photo on Thursday of him and fellow castmates Alexis Bledel and Kelly Bishop.

The actor’s epic selfie is the latest to pop up on Twitter, following snapshots shared by Danny Strong (with Liza Weil) — aka Doyle and Paris — and Yanic “Michel” Truesdale (with Lauren Graham). Photos of Stars Hollow have also made their way online.

Feast your eyes on Sade’s group shot below, then try not to get too emotional in the comments!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  2. Jesus Christ, Finn got old…

  3. Chloe Tilly says:

So excited to see everyone again! Love my GGs!

Finn was friends with Logan, so does this hint that Rory and Logan are getting married?

    • Dean and Jess are also returning. Even Tom the contractor is coming back. So, no. It’s not a hint.

    • Rebecca says:

I don’t know if it hints that they’re getting married, but it seems like it hints that Logan is in the picture in some sort of significant way, b/c how else to work in his college friends too?

That said, I’m a little worried that with all of the returning cast, we might not have much time for our actual girls :-(

ITA, but with that being said, I’m really glad that Tom the contractor will be on for a second, overseeing a repair or two at the inn. LOVED the witty repartee between him and Lorelai 😍😆

      • Hso says:

They’re all a part of the Life and Death Brigade which Rory was a part of at Yale.

        • PL says:

Rory was NOT a part of the Life and Death Brigade, Logan was. There is some sort of Life & Death Brigade event though in the revival, which explains the presence of Colin and Finn.

She was a part of it–at the end of the episode where she goes to the camp with them, she receives a bottle of champagne and a gorilla mask.

I used to find the lead characters charming but now I just can’t stand them. Like, what exactly is Lorelai’s problem with her parents ? Why does she treat them like crap ? Their heart is in the right place and they want what is best for her and Rory. Not to mention they paid for Chilton and Yale, interest free. When she needs money Lorelai comes back to them, all the while mocking them, when all they’ve asked for is a friday night dinner. Comparing her mom to hitler ? Really ? Did her parents beat her, hit her or abandon her like so many unfortunate children ? Didn’t think so. And Rory, she cheated on Dean with Jess, cheated on Logan with Jess and so on…yet everyone somehow got mad only at Dean for cheating. Now that Sookie and Richard are not going to be in this, I won’t be watching.

I think it’s way more complicated than that. I think it’s a lot more with to do with their differing outlooks on life and Lorelai’s struggle for independence. Emily loved Lorelai but she was very controlling at times. Emily always struggled to accept the decisions Lorelai has made in her life. Emily lived a life of privilege and high society and she wanted that for Lorelai but that just wasn’t what Lorelai wanted which is why she moved to Stars Hollow and made a life for herself. Emily also interfered in Lorelai’s relationship with Luke. She wanted her to be with Christopher because of the image it projected with the both of them being from prominent, wealthy families. Richard tried to interfere in Rory’s decision for college with wanting her to go to Yale when her dream growing up was going to Harvard. Lorelai wanted that decision to be Rory’s and not influenced by anyone. Lorelai was relunctant to let her parents pay for Chilton because she didn’t want to be indebted to them as there would most likely be strings attached and that would allow them to have more influence into her life which she worked so hard to overcome. I’m sure there are more examples.
Now of course, Lorelai isn’t innocent in everything. She has definitely hurt Emily with the way she left at 16 with Rory and I’m sure there are other examples that I can’t think of at the moment. Their relationship could have been better, but you can see there’s a lot of resentment and hurt there. Two formidable generations of women. Each wanting different things from the other and a huge struggle to find a balance.

Alexis is so pretty. Love her gorgeous eyes! I do hope having Finn in the revival means that the Rory/Logan story gets a better conclusion than the original series! Hated the rushed, out-of-character, contradictory ending for them.

  7. Tee says:

People should also follow Nick Holmes on tumblr–he played one of Logan’s friends in the Life and Death Brigade. He periscopes on set and has some pictures on his tumblr.

  8. Tiff @ Mostly YA Lit says:

Even fuzzy, Alexis Bledel is the prettiest. Those eyes!

  9. Chadwik3 says:

so far on IMDB Matt (Logan) is in only 2 episodes (“seasons”) while Jared (Dean), is only allotted for 1 episode (“season”); indicating that Rory will most likely marry Milo (Jess) since he is in 3 episodes (“seasons”), or there is a new duder in her life.

I could be reading to much into this; however, also reading interviews with Lauren (Lorelai), it seems that the last/final episode, #4 is “Winter”. Jared (Dean) and Milo (Jess) are both in that episode.
