Brown’s character CJ Prescott, who possesses an over-the-top passion for her job, will turn up during the TNT drama’s upcoming seventh and final season. As of now she’s scheduled to appear in one episode.
The ubiquitous Community vet recently shot a guest stint on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. She’s also a semi-regular fixture on AMC’s Walking Dead post-show The Talking Dead.
Rizzoli & Isles’ farewell season will consist of 13 episodes and premiere this summer. In announcing the show’s end date back in January, TNT president Kevin Reilly said that stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander “have had a really satisfying experience” working on the series, adding. “I don’t know that they wouldn’t do anymore, but they felt very comfortable that it’s had a good run. Everyone said, ‘Let’s go out and finish 13 great ones and call it a day.’”
Rizzoli & Isles will close out its current sixth season on March 15.
