Once Upon Time Hook Megara

Once Upon a Time Sneak Peek: Can Hook Save Himself and Megara?

Captain Hook may be down… like, way, way, wayyyyyy down… but he is not out, as seen in this sneak peek from the next episode of ABC’s Once Upon a Time.

In the episode “Labor of Love” (airing Sunday at 8/7c), we finally lay eyes on post mortem Hook in his crude Underworld digs. There, he aims to help a fellow prisoner (Megara, played by Hannibal‘s Kacey Rohl) escape with him. But when a hellbeast approaches, decisions must be made!

Elsewhere in the episode, Mary Margaret searches for an old childhood friend (Hercules, played by Jonathan Whitesell) who knows how to defeat the hellbeast — but once reunited, she discovers that he is no longer the hero he once was. Meanwhile, in an Enchanted Forest flashback, a young Snow White (Bailee Madison) struggles to preserve peace in her kingdom and must learn how to be a true hero if she wants to one day become queen.

The casting choice for Hercules is a bit disappointing.

  2. Jena Grosser says:

It’s not clear to me if he’s learned Emma’s looking for him in the Underworld at this point… but I like to think “awww– he knows she’s going to come looking for him!” no matter what. Now, that’s some serious soulmating. :)

Same. I’m kinda disappointed he knows though. I wanted it to be a surprise like he wasn’t expecting her to come down there and then he’d just see her and it’d be beautiful I don’t know lol. But I wanna know how he knows. I feel like may be when she did the grave thing he might of seen a glimpse of her or heard her or someone told him OR he over heard Cora & Hades and heard Regina was here so Emma must be. I kinda hope he doesn’t just assume she’s there and would come for him because that kinda just defeats that whole purpose of his ‘heroic sacrifice’ if he just assumed the love of his life would walk down to the underworld to just ‘save him’ if this makes any sense lol

Why does Hook still have a hook even though he’s dead? Thought his spirit would be full-bodied or something.

  4. Vari says:

Poor Hook. He has been through hell (you know what I mean)
Good scene right there. Killian Jones and Find Emma… The belief he has in Emma.
Also helping Megara and facing a hellbeast too. I hope he will be OK.
    Find him Emma soon.
Also look forward to it being a Snow centric

  5. Em says:

That Meg did not act at ALL like movie Meg.

  6. Maria Clark says:

Calm down about meg guys this is literally a 2 minute sneak peek of her. And this is after the movie and they’re both [Meg & Hercules] in the underworld and she’s obviously been through hell (no pun intended) and when people go through something that traumatic they change and unfortunately may loose their snarky sassy funny attitude {excluding Deadpool & Killian Jones} now that she’s out we might get movie meg (1997 Disney) or she’s been through so much crap that’s not her anymore. Who knows we have alot more time to get to know her be patient

  7. Amanda says:

I honestly could watch this sneak peek 100 times. This is the Killian Jones I’ve been missing.

  8. Aly says:

I’m not sold. Meg is a character who’s most famous line is pretty much how she isn’t a damsel in distress, and yet…They have seemingly made her a damsel in distress for one of their male characters. Sigh.
Kacey Rohl can be a really strong actress when given good material (eg. on Hannibal).

    • Vari says:

She is in the worst state possible in a freaking prison in the underworld for god knows how long and lost hope and thinking its a trick so right now i would assume she is distressed and so on – it happens, even Hercules in the promo has lost his courage or something.
All Hook did was offer a chance to take it and run. She ran and he stayed behind to handle the hellbeast.
OR Meg is under Hades control and using it to trick Hook. Same plotline from the movie

      • Aly says:

In the movie she was about to be crushed by a giant when Hercules first met her, and she was still under Hades’ control at the time. And yet she managed to be badass and snarky even then.
Being in a prison in the Underworld might not be pleasant, but the writers could have chosen to show her in a bad shape and yet still a fighter. And yet they chose what we saw above instead.

Exactly, where are the awesome female warriors. So much for female empowerment.

          • Carmen says:

I didn’t realize women were allowed to not have any emotions beyond being kickass and snarky. Are women never allowed to experience fear and sorrow?
