Mr. Robot Season 2: The Office Alum Craig Robinson Lands Recurring Role

After all those years at Dunder-Mifflin, Evil Corp should be a walk in the park for Craig Robinson.

The Office vet will dip his toes into dramatic waters with a recurring role on Mr. Robot‘s second season, TVLine has learned. He will play Ray, a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot in his time of need.

Robinson — whose recent TV credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine and his short-lived NBC sitcom Mr. Robinson — joins a Season 2 cast that includes Extant‘s Grace Gummer (as an FBI agent investigating the Evil Corp hack), newcomer Chris Conroy (as a new man in Joanna Wellick’s life) and rapper Joey Bada$$ (as a friend of Elliot’s).

In addition, the acclaimed USA Network drama has promoted Stephanie Corneliussen and Michael Cristofer to series regular status for the 10-episode sophomore run, as Joanna and Evil Corp CEO Phillip Price, respectively.

Wonder if he will be singing his dialogue???

  2. kate says:

So maybe he is there as we all suspect that the other neighbor might very well be another Mr. Robot.

  3. Joey Padron says:

It will be interesting to see him act in a drama. He’s good in comedy roles.

  4. Interesting choice in casting, but I have full confidence in Esmail’s counter intuitive decisions so far.
