Full House Nights: Stamos, Saget and Coulier Star in Gritty Colbert Spinoff

Stephen Colbert wants in on the success of Fuller House — with or without Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The Late Show on Wednesday gave us Full House Nights, a gritty reimagining of the original “TGIF” sitcom that finds Jesse (John Stamos), Danny (Bob Saget) and Joey (Dave Coulier) moonlighting as detectives on the mean streets of San Francisco.

Unfortunately, the “Full House daddies'” efforts to set bad guy Demetri (Colbert) straight go south after inviting him into their Victorian home and attempting to rehabilitate him the Tanner way. (Let’s just say you probably won’t be hearing Joey’s Bullwinkle impression again any time soon.)

Sample the spinoff above, then share your reaction in the comments.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

The skit with Colbert was goofy as hell, but I loved the opening titles!! I’d watch that show.

  4. Loving that modified theme song. Can that released?

I thought that was funny. The “darker” theme song was good. And I liked the “not starring mary-kate & ashley olsen”. Great job with that clip Colbert show!

I wonder if this is a riff on the real Naywatch Nights? Which was such a weird spinoff lol
