Katrina Law CBS Pilot

Arrow's Katrina Law Cops Role on Training Day Pilot at CBS

Recurring Arrow badass Katrina Law will be — wait for it — enforcing the law, with a role on CBS’ follow-up to the motion picture Training Day.

Penned by Castle vet Will Beall and picking up 15 years after the Denzel Washington/Ethan Hawke movie, the drama pilot centers on an idealistic young African-American police officer who is appointed to the LAPD’s elite Special Investigation Section (S.I.S.), where he is partnered with a seasoned, morally ambiguous detective (to be played by Big Love‘s Bill Paxton).

Per our sister site Deadline, Law will play Rebecca Lee, an S.I.S. detective who at age 4 was rescued from human traffickers by Paxton’s character.

Law’s previous TV credits also include Spartacus: War of the Damned, The Resistance and Legend of the Seeker.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

I hope this doesn’t mean that Nyssa will be killed off.

  2. Mark says:

Had no interest in this until now…wooooo..I can’t get enough of Katrina.

  3. Emily says:

I really wanted her to join Legends, especially now that the League is disbanded. Sara and Nyssa are unfinished.

Nice to see she’s getting more work, really underrated.

  5. Joey Padron says:

Hope Nyssa can come back on Arrow next season. Happy she’s getting more work. She’s a great actress.

    • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

As I often remind: It’s just a pilot for now. Last year, less than half of the pilots got ordered to series.

      • Annie says:

Yeah, but this one is Bruckheimer at CBS. His track record there is untouchable.

Add in Fuqua, Danny Cannon directing and Emmy award winner Paxton in the lead?

        This one will go.

        • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

Why are you arguing with me on a simple FYI link…? Someone asked about the other project, I answered.

  6. Datil says:

Wasn’t she supposed to star on a Freeform show?

  7. kath says:

Will Beall was one of the best Castle writers. I missed him when he left.
I hope this show gets picked up.
