Mom Stages West Wing Reunion, Taps Richard Schiff for May Sweeps Stint

I see an extended walk-and-talk sequence in Mom‘s not-too-distant future.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the CBS comedy is engineering a West Wing reunion this spring, tapping Richard Schiff to guest-star opposite his former Bartlet administration colleague Allison Janney.

Schiff will play a “co-worker” of Janney’s Bonnie in a May episode. (She apparently fantasizes about being employed as something other than a building super, and Schiff’s character appears in said daydream.)

This marks Schiff’s second West Wing reunion this year. In January, he turned up in an episode of Rob Lowe’s rookie Fox comedy The Grinder.

Schiff’s other recent TV credits include arcs on House of Lies, The Affair and Manhattan.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

You forgot to mention his TWW reunion with Dule Hill on Ballers.

  3. Love him. Love her. Love them. God, I want The West Wing to have an eighth series – hey NBC, I’ll write it! I’m cheap! I say C J Cregg for President :D (Toby running the campaign of course).

Richard Schiff can be seen on Rogue in case a lot of people never seen it.

I always wondered if they ever hooked up on WW. There were so many clues, but no confirmation.

I have been rooting this since the first time I watched “Mom” The two have such great chemistry together. I still refuse to believe that horrible TWW story-line Toby had on the final season. Now, if they will just bring in Timothy Busfield to play Janney’s love interest, all will be right.

Schiff is in everything lately. As he should be.

And Ballers. He was in Ballers
