Tom Hardy Returns From the Dead in FX's Taboo Series — Watch Trailer

Tom Hardy is on display in the first trailer for Taboo, an upcoming FX drama based on an original story by the Oscar-nominated Revenant star and his father, Chips Hardy.

Set in 1814, the eight-episode FX/BBC One co-production follows James Keziah Delaney (played by Hardy), a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long-dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father’s shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. Alas, his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence.

Executive-produced by Hardy alongside Ridley Scott and Steven Knight, Taboo is currently anticipated to air in 2017. Will you be watching?
