Season to date, Superstore is averaging 7 million viewers and a 2.1 demo rating in Live+7 viewing, making it NBC’s most-watched rookie comedy in two years.
“We’re thrilled to renew a show that’s so incredibly funny and relatable, full of great characters who are brought to life by an amazing cast and creative team,” Peacock entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement. “After such a successful first season, we look forward to seeing more of the wonderful America Ferrera, Ben Feldman and the rest of this hilarious cast in Season 2.”
The pickup comes just hours after the series aired its Season 1 finale.
