Tony Danza Eyes Sitcom Comeback With Greg Garcia's NBC Pilot Sebastian

Four-time Golden Globe nominee Tony Danza is poised for a return to sitcoms, playing pop to comic Sebastian Maniscalco in an NBC pilot.

In Sebastian, which is inspired by Maniscalco’s life and is being exec-produced by Greg Garcia’s (My Name Is Earl) shingle, the Who’s the Boss? alum will play the opinionated, old-school Italian father of the title character.

Austen Earl (The Millers) will pen the project and also serve as an EP alongside Maniscalco.

Since wrapping his employment as Angela Bower’s housekeeper-with-eventual-benefits in 1992, Danza’s TV credits have included Hudson Street, The Practice, Family Law and an eponymous variety/talk show.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!
