Stephen Amell on Legends of Tomorrow

First Look: Arrow's Stephen Amell Brings Future Oliver to DC's Legends

It seems time has done a number on Arrow‘s Oliver Queen.

Stephen Amell shared the first photos of his upcoming visit to spinoff DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as an older, goatee-sporting version of the character.

“Get up old man,” the actor captioned the image on Twitter, which features the hero kneeling as someone stands over him. A second picture on Facebook, which includes the caption “Old feuds die hard,” suggests the mystery man is Deathstroke. Another photo on Twitter teases the introduction of Connor Hawke, son to Oliver and the second Green Arrow in the comics.

In the episode, Rip’s team members crash into Star City circa 2046 and discover what will happen to their home if they don’t stop Vandal Savage — and it ain’t pretty. In a nod to his appearance in the Dark Knight Returns comics, future Oliver will also be missing his left arm in the hour, which airs Feb. 25 at 8/7c on The CW.

When the team first encounters “hard, jaded” Oliver, “He’s got a gun on us — so it’s not a happy homecoming,” Caity Lotz tells TVLine with a laugh. Nor is it an expected one. “Everybody thought he was dead [by 2046],” the actress shares.
