The Grinder Video: Can Maya Rudolph Shrink Down Dean's Dramatic Side?

Can actor Dean Sanderson get a bit overdramatic? Well, yeah. But this week on The Grinder (Fox, 9:30/8:30c), that trait costs the family firm a big client — and thus triggers the need for therapy. Cue guest star Maya Rudolph!

The (very) funny lady kicks off a multi-episode this week as Jillian, Stew’s own shrink who agrees to take Dean on as a patient. As revealed in the featurette above, her work proves almost too successful, when Dean “overcorrects” and begins “therapizing” the whole family. Plus, Stew’s none to happy that he can’t know what Dean is sharing in his sessions.

Press play above to see Rudolph preview her role on the freshman comedy, as well as get several sneak peeks from her “sessions” with the bros.

Love, love this show! I don’t watch 1/2 hour comedy sitcoms. This & The Middle are just awesome. Everyone in the Grinder has great comedic timing. Hilarious!

Agreed. I don’t find much to like in sitcoms these days, but this show is the exception. The writing and the entire cast are great.
