Lady Gaga Plans David Bowie Tribute for 2016 Grammy Awards

A space oddity performing “Space Oddity”?

It’s a real possibility, as Lady Gaga will perform a tribute to the late David Bowie at this year’s Grammy Awards, CBS announced on Tuesday.

The network is promising “a multi-sensory testament to Bowie’s incredible artistry and a reflection of his limitless creativity.” In other words, expect something pretty outré from the woman who arrived on the Grammys red carpet in a giant egg back in 2011.

Bowie collaborator Nile Rodgers (who produced the Let’s Dance album) will serve as musical director for Gaga’s performance.

Gaga joins previously announced performers, Adele, James Bay, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd, with LL Cool J set to host for the fifth consecutive year.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air live on Monday, Feb. 15 at 8/7c on CBS.
