James Corden Super Bowl

Late Late Show: James Corden Names Post-Super Bowl Guests, Confirms Carpool Karaoke With Elton John

James Corden will soon have one legendary Rocket Man in his passenger seat.

The host of CBS’ Late Late Show confirmed the rumored news that Elton John will join him for Carpool Karaoke during his special post-Super Bowl broadcast.

Additionally, Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine will appear on the Feb. 7 episode, which will start airing at approximately 11:35 pm ET.

Unlike Stephen Colbert’s post-game Late Show (airing at or around 10/9c), Corden’s Sunday installment will not be live; it will be taped shortly after the Super Bowl concludes and air immediately following Colbert. Will you tune in?

So, what he is basically saying is the whole show will actually be a musical extravaganza? But like he and Anna Kendrick’s version of dream school musical. That should be fun. I actually can’t figure out how to say that without sounding snarky. Like, I barely care about the Super Bowl this year and usually commercials aren’t that great in the fourth quarter but I may pay some attention to when it ends.

  2. This is a terrible idea. With all of the celebrities and athletes in San Francisco for the Super Bowl plus the crazy things that can happen on live TV, The Late Late Show is missing out on a big opportunity. If you want to have the pretaped Carpool Karaoke segment that’s fine, but not being live is a huge mistake.

Love, love, love Stephen AND James.(And I’m long into AARP membership). Dave was my favorite, but these 2 have won me over. You bet I’ll stay up into the wee hours to watch them!!

Pretaped Show? C´mon James, that´s lame, you could do much better.

OK Elton John would NOT be live…why not??? uhhhhh maybe because he plays 2/7 in PARIS, FRANCE?????? Good grief people, YOU don’t be so lame.

So excited about Anna Kendrick and her return to The Late Late Show with James Corden. Both Kendrick and Corden were great since Into the Woods and I can imagine seeing them as a duet together. She also joined alongside her Pitch Perfect 2 castmates Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfeld as guests back in May and I’m also excited about Carpool Karaoke with Elton John.
