SNL: Tina Fey Returns as Sarah Palin to Lampoon Trump Endorsement — Watch

She’s baaaaaack.

As many had hoped, Tina Fey revived her Sarah Palin impersonation on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live.

Specifically, Fey lampooned Palin’s rambling, widely-ridiculed endorsement this week of presidential hopeful Donald Trump (Darrell Hammond) during the show’s cold open.

What did you think? Rewatch Fey’s latest Palin spoof above and then sound off in the comments!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

i was positive it was Sarah.

  2. Mr. Tran K says:

I give it an A+. Very happy to see Tina Fey back as Sarah Palin.

  3. Caroline Witko says:

A CLASSIC, one of the best, and I believe will be among the most remembered and repeated snl political satires. LOVE YA. TINA

  4. MissionXRX says:

checked website as was not sure if it was actually Palin or Fey.

  5. Joey says:

You could have crossed out “rambling, widely-ridiculed endorsement this week of presidential hopeful Donald Trump” and put in “failed method of deflecting the blame of her son violently assaulting his girlfriend onto President Obama.”

    • Angela says:

That floored me, her trying to blame him for that. Aren’t Republicans supposed to be all about taking personal responsibility for one’s actions? Funny, that.

      • Fluff says:

Please. The “con” in conservative is short for contradiction. They want a small government every time the Federal government wants to regulate an industry or try to get clean air, but they ask for federal laws to ban gay marriage and they want the Supreme court to turn Roe v. Wade.
If her son had shot his girlfriend with that rifle, she’d been blaming Obama for not being tough enough on guns. She has no shame.

  6. EJ says:

Darrell Hammond’s Trump is so weak, though. Shame.

  7. Trump will kick everybody’s ass..Palin is just a little spice to distract the moron anti-Trumpsters. You all took the bait while Trump only romps in the polls. Ain’t no competition for Mr. Trump..But Tina fey was funny, but not near as good as the real Sarah Palin. She was AWESOME!

  8. Amanda says:

I can’t explain how close the resemblance is. However, Tina Fey is much more attractive, and ahem…smarter than Sarah Palin. Another great one, SNL!!!

  9. Lori sigalov says:

Hilarious if real life weren’t so absolutely terrifying

  10. Bri says:

Tina is great and I can’t get over that!

  11. GSOGal says:

    Thank you Jesus

  12. lynnie says:

Sara Palin is so much more embarrassing!! Tina is adorable

  13. JosiahBartlet4President says:

This makes me almost as happy as the panda at the National Zoo playing in the snow.

  14. Melissa says:

Everything I hoped for! Tina never disappoints as the crazed Palin.

  15. Rover says:

I have watched SNL for what 20 years this was the best performance ever. Totally loved it!

  16. peterwdawson says:

Dunno if it was so much a takedown as just more of what we saw already from the genuine article. Either way it had to be done, fruit was too ripe and low-hanging not to grab.

  17. Amb says:

Sooooo funny!! Palin is a nut and Tina impersonates her PERFECTLY!! So glad SNL was able to go on in the blizzard.

  18. Kathy says:

    Tina Fey is spot on.Hilarious.

  19. Kathy says:

    Tina Fey is spot on.Hilarious!

  20. Jasmin Days says:

    Make her go away!!!!!!!!!

  21. Jasmin Days says:

When I said make her go away, I hope everyone knows I meant Sarah Palin. 😖😖

  22. Eran says:

If Palin had been an elderly, blind woman, she’d be running on Trump’s ticket as the GOP Prophet. Certifiable loon.

  23. Raftrap says:

I actually wished the writers would have done a better job on that cold opening, or at least be a little bit more inventive about the thing, they could have had Tina Fey endorsing the Ronda Rousey monologue and saying crazy Palin-esque stuff, cause sadly the recreation of the events was less funny than the actual Palin endorsement speech. But hey, Tina Fey coming back is always a good thing.

  24. Kim R says:

“It’s like her mouth starts driving before her brain gets in the car.” So funny. :)

  25. MC says:

How is this even a question?

  26. B Storace says:

Tina Fey does Palin better than Palin!!

  27. Isn’t it surprising how many Americans will get their political opinions from SNL! Perhaps if they paid more attention to what is really going on in the world, they might get a better government.

  28. downriverdem says:

Love Tina! Keep showing us how insane repubs are. No self respecting educated woman would ever vote repub. The repubs have the rich and ignorant hating duped fools. My hope is with young people who can’t stand repub haters.

  29. MM Johnson says:

    It was fabulous!

  30. Lassiter says:

Tina is so good at this impersonation, it’s hard to see Palin on the screen anymore without superimposing Tina over her. Hey Rocky Ray (is your brother Rocky Road?) – I think you may need a brain transplant.

  31. Sodakhic says:

Hey, Fey can lampoon Palin all day long, but Palins endorsement gave Trump a +11 point jump in Iowa. Fey should have had Palin in her “Sisters” movie.

  32. john says:

next week Dan Aykroyd will do his Richard Nixon impression.

  33. Longwalker says:

…The best part of the SNL critique on Sarah Darlin’ was that we did not have to listen to the real, broad-faced, mouth.

  34. kelly says:

Time for fey to start looking for another line of work…maybe getting on the view …they also need help

  35. Any says:

Don’t get me wrong, I love Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. However I have always been a little baffled around the misogynistic backlash that seems to surround Palin. There seems to be a direct correlation between attractive, strong women and nasty backlash. Has she said some dumb things? Sure. But you film anybody long enough they’re going to say something stupid.

Sarah Palin is not a dumb woman. Remember 2008? The amount of coverage around her wardrobe and hair? We’re seeing a similar type a thing with Carly Fiorini and to some extent even Megan Kelly. It seems that an attractive woman cannot commit and more heinous crime in the society than being conservative. It’s completely disgusting and incredibly hypocritical..

    • Glenda says:

Yes, when you get informed about politics, politicians from satire by entertainers fed “the party lines” of what they want you to think or who is ‘ get a laugh , but when you actually argue policy and her factual successful governance record, compared to Hillary’s graft, corruption and sinking campaign..that is not material for satire..?.but then Sarah keeps them relevant.

    • Angela says:

I agree with you that all the focus on her looks is insulting and ridiculous. Same goes with any other female candidate. I couldn’t care less about that aspect of the female candidates, and I agree the media shouldn’t obsess over that stuff, either. They should focus solely on their political campaigns and policies instead, and discuss that stuff with them the way they would any male candidate, and treat it equally as seriously.
That said, however, I would say that it’s a little more than Sarah just saying ” a few dumb things”. She’s said things that are flat out untrue, and downright insulting (like, as someone noted above, blaming Obama for her son’s recent abusive behavior). You’re right that everyone says some dumb stuff, but she goes above and beyond on that end, and I have no problem with the media calling her out for that, or mocking her for the stuff she says that isn’t true and is insulting.

    • Jana says:

      Strong women are not quitters.

  36. Bonnie Abbey says:

As I watched, I wasn’t sure if it was Sarah or Tina, had to confirm this morning because Tina was dead on. You rock Tina, best ever. Keep it coming, maybe people will see how ridiculous they both are. I’m from Alaska and WE ALL THINK SHE’S CRAZY! So scary to think either one of these clowns could actually win!

  37. Karen Carroll says:

You could kidnap Sarah and replace her with Tina and no one would know the difference.

  38. Markus says:

What want to know why loser Rhonda Rousey was chosen to host the show instead of the woman who BEAT her, New Mexican, Holly Holm…
