Biggest TV Snow Jobs Fake Outs

Blizzard 2016: TV's Best Snow Jobs From Buffy, Desperate Housewives, Friends, Sleepy Hollow and More

The East Coast is settling in for one heckuva snowstorm this weekend, but if you think we’re about to revisit TV’s most memorable blizzards, you’d be wrong.

Instead, on this wintry weekend, we’re looking back at the small screen’s best snow jobs — that is to say, the most unforgettable instances when characters pulled one over on those closest to them.

Monica and Chandler hiding a newfound romance from their Friends? Younger‘s Liza fudging her age by 14 years? Bree’s fake pregnancy on Desperate Housewives? All of those long cons are included in our gallery below, plus ruses from Glee, House, General Hospital, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and more.

Scroll through the photos below — or click here for direct access — to see the snow jobs we’ve highlighted, then hit the comments with your own favorites!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

I actually got a big kick out of General Hospital’s ‘mask’-erading characters, which started with Faison pretending to be Duke. How else do we get to refer to a character as “Face-On”? They also had Anna impersonated by Dr. Obrecht, which was an acting challenge for both actresses.

Honorable mention should go to Another World’s Vicky Hudson impersonating her twin sister Marley at Marley’s murder trial. Nobody was the wiser until Marley walked into the courtroom–while “Marley” was testifying. All that subterfuge earned Anne Heche an Emmy.

You left out Walter White being a drug kingpin for a good while without DEA brother-in-law Hank ever finding out. I always thought Hank, Deb Morgan, and Stan Beaman should’ve formed some kind of support group.

How can you leave out Grant Ward on Agents of Shield? The repercussions from that betrayal are still being felt.

Gossip Girl snowed us by trying to convince us that Blair Waldorf would date Dan and that Dan was Gossip Girl! We all know she would never date a guy from Brooklyn and that Dan was covering for Jenny for reasons unknown!

Wish The Price is Right (CBS) should have been one of TV’s biggest snow jobs. WARNING: try NOT to delete this comment.

Here in AZ, it’s biz as usual. We save out hideout marathons for the hot months of July & August. :)

  7. Steven says:

Thank you for including Roswell! That was such a twist. So much of that cast moved on to bigger things!

  8. Carol says:

I remember the biggest snow-job on Buffy the Vampire Slayer was Angel pretending to be Angelus for the benefit of Faith and The Mayor. Buffy’s ‘Psych’ to Faith was so amazing I jumped out of my seat.

  9. Tom says:

I was expecting actual Snow like from Buffy’s Amends or How I Met Your Mother’s Three Days of Snow

  10. Dennis says:

THANK YOU for including Roswell and Angel in this awesome list! Good to know The WB shows haven’t been forgotten :)
