State of Union Ratings

Ratings: State of the Union Dips vs. 2015, iZombie Returns Steady

President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union address on Tuesday night drew 17.7 million total viewers across the Big 4 broadcast networks, down 9 percent from last year.

Obama’s previous SOTU went on to amass 31.7 million viewers with cable networks added in, marking a 15-year low for the speech. (Cable numbers famously come in much, much later; check back this evening for an update.)

Elsewhere in the ratings….

FOX | New Girl (3.3 mil/1.3) and Grandfathered (2.7 mil/1.0) were steady.

THE CW | Leading out of the MADtv special (1.6 mil/0.6), iZombie returned steady (1.3 mil/0.5).

NBC | Hollywood Game Night (4.6 mil/1.2) matched its premiere numbers.

I watched Erika vs Bethenny on RHOBH. Good tv.

  2. Drew says:

iZombie was really good. I almost missed the fact that it was new last night. I thought it would come back next week, with everything else.
I hear that there was a West Wing rerun on most of the other networks though…

  4. Danielle says:

Well, yeah. I love Obama, I do, but Shadowhunters, Pretty Little Liars, iZombie, Teen Wolf, Shannara Chronicles etc once the other shows come back. They come first.

……thank God for DVRs. That’s all I’m sayin.
