Beyonce Super Bowl Halftime

Beyoncé Performing at Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show With Coldplay

Beyoncé is returning to the Super Bowl stage next month to remind us all how it’s done.

Pepsi confirms to the Associated Press that the “Drunk in Love” singer — who already left her mark on the Super Bowl in 2013 — will join headliner Coldplay on Feb. 7 during this year’s halftime show.

If you’re trying to find the connection between the two, here’s your answer: Beyoncé provided vocals for the band’s latest album A Head Full of Dreams. She and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin also both have a stake in the music streaming service Tidal.

Entertainment Tonight adds that Bruno Mars, who headlined the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show in 2014 and was rumored to return this year, is indeed expected to also perform with Coldplay.

Hope there won’t be another blackout after the halftime show.

  2. jj says:

Well, that makes it zero interest x 2.

  3. Will Sanborn says:

Beyonce and Chris Martin are also friends. Another connection: Jay Z has done some music with Coldplay/Chris Martin as well. :P

  4. A. D. says:

    Wow…what a horrible halftime show!

  5. I’ll actually be skipping halftime this year. I second Mr. Tran in hoping there is no blackout again… I remember the Ravens Super Bowl and that was good, but the blackout was not cool. Had to actually bond with family…. *Shudders* But I did eat my Ray Lewis cake.

What a horrible halftime show! I was ok with it when it was Coldplay but adding Beyoncé makes it completely unwatchable! So glad I’ll be out of the country where I won’t even have access to a tv. Although I am bummed I’m missing the commercial, so glad I can catch them online afterwards.

The husband says, “They are boring bands.” I guess he would want Led Zeppelin.

  8. Jake says:

Yawn a one trick pony half time show. Beyonce needs a new act, she’s becoming a “BORE”!

YEE-HAW! Looking forward to this halftime pairing. Fantastic idea, someone deserves a raise!

COLD PLAY IS BORING. Very bad choice. Hopefully Beyoncé and Bruno will spice it up a bit.

    No. Just no.

Wonderful!! Beyonce is the greatest talent in the world!!

  16. Connie Hill says:

Why is Beyonce doing the Superbowl again? I would rather see someone else do it in 2016.

  17. Lea Blev says:

I knew the blacks would throw a tantrum. To get their way. Should of had, some classic seventies bands to perform.I’m not even going to watch it now.

  18. JEM says:

Absolutely horrible. Take Lame music talent and combine them all with a song that at this point has been over played (the funk was good when it first came out but it has since lost the funk) and quickly smash them together. To make it worse reuse some artists that were just recently used.

  19. Norma Duck says:

This was the best halftime show I have seen in a very long time, enjoyable entertaining. Loved Bruno, Chris and Beyoncé. Lady Gaga did a great job with the national anthem.

  20. Sandra Davenport says:

Beyoncé and Coldplay what an amazing performance. You guys really know how to shake it up. The choreography was nothing short of spectacular. Kudos to both of you

  21. Kelly P says:

It was the most horrible half-time show. It was boring and a real let down.
