TVLine Holiday Card

TVLine's 2015 Holiday Card Counts Down 10 Extra Reasons to Be Merry

Your friends here at TVLine know that, in spite of the presents and the tinsel, the gingerbread cookies and Kylie Minogue Christmas album, this time of year can still leave you feeling bluer than Charlie Brown upon discovering his mailbox empty again.

So, to fill you with cheer — or at least drain you of despair — we’ve created a holiday card that lists 10 inarguable TV-centric reasons why, if you’re not in a festive mood, you should get in one, pronto! (In other words, it could be far worse.)

Take a gander at the card above, then feel free to fill up the comments section with whatever excuses for merriment you think we somehow overlooked.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Let’s see, I know about 1/2 of these. The other 5 I am either way behind on seasons of the show or haven’t watched them yet and/or no interest and never will:

I’m only on Season 1 of Once Upon a Time, Season 3 of Grimm, Season 2 of Agents of Shield and also Sleepy Hollow, and Season 2 of Supernatural but I do recognize some of the events this current season:

2 is Flash, 3 is Agents of Shield, 5 I am guessing is Sleepy Hollow since Redcoats refer to the British, 8 is Blindspot, 9 is Supernatural.

I’m guessing one might be Grimm or Once Upon a Time, 7 sounds like a hospital show, Grey’s Anatomy or Chicago Black, maybe Quantico or Scream Queens.

It’s always my luck I enjoy shows that get cancelled shortly thereafter, i.e: Forever, The Player, Minority Report, Twisted, Ravenswood, The Whispers, The Messengers, Agent X and sooner or later Blood and Oil.

I just discovered Blood & Oil these past few days, as I cleaned and organized the house. It is great fun! Too bad it got cancelled. It’s great to do chores to, folks. I just rewind things I’ve missed. It’s packed with entertaining stuff.

    4. The Vampire Diaries
    5. Outlander
    6. Nashville
    7. Getting On
    8. Blindspot
    9. Supernatural
    10. Jane The Virgin

Hindsight! It was such a terrible match for VH1. Would’ve been perfect for Lifetime. And the un-renewal was so cruel. I assumed it would be canceled when it ended because the ratings were so low, and was thrilled and shocked when it was renewed, then had the rug painfully pulled out from under me.
