Sarah Palin Spoofs Tina Fey in Funny-ish 30 Rock Parody

Sarah Palin is giving Tina Fey a taste of her own silly meds.

Just days after Fey resurrected her Palin impersonation on Saturday Night Live, the former Alaska governor and VP candidate is turning the tables on her doppelganger courtesy of a mildly amusing 30 Rock parody produced by the right-leaning Independent Journal.

The 60-second spoof serves as a faux-promo for Season 1 of 31 Rock, and finds Palin starring as Lynn Melon “a small-town TV writer who moves to NYC in hopes of creating a hit variety show.”

In addition to Palin, the clip features appearances by 30 Rock vet Kevin Brown (reprising his role as Dot Com) as well as Palin’s former running mate John McCain.

Press PLAY above and then hit the comments with an answer to this question: How is it that Fey can make herself up to look like the spitting image of Palin, but the reverse? Not so much.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Despite the fact that I didn’t laugh once (the skit itself was stupid), I love that she gives as good as she gets, and can laugh at herself.

  2. Tom says:

    Not 100% completely horrible.

This was supposed to be her revenge but she is playing a TV character while Tina was playing her real life character. That said, good on her for making this video to show she knew it was a joke.

  5. Jakay says:

She’s a terrible actress, even in something as slight as this. And the weird thing is, she looks more like Roseanne Barr than Tina Fey in that piece.

  6. Drew says:

She is at least as good of an actress as Tina Fey and that skit was at least as funny as 30 Rock.
    Read that as you will.

    Not even a chuckle

  8. G7 says:

    Awesome!!! Admit it, it’s funny.

  9. Josh Emerson says:

That…was pretty terrible. The cameos from Graham and McCain were the only decent parts.

Had this come out at a different time, MAYBE it wouldn’t come off as anything other than a revenge video. Coming right on the heels of her “reappearance” on SNL and it comes off as slapdash, lazy and makes it look like she can’t take a joke. Which is kind of a requirement if you want to run for national office in this country. Moron.

I’m going to guess this was originally a two minute skit and she just quit halfway through…
