Hulu's Aaron Paul-Led Drama The Path Gets Premiere Date, Teaser Video

Hulu has determined The Path of least viewer resistance to be the tail end of March.

The streaming service announced Tuesday that its upcoming Scientology-esque drama — from EP Jason Katims and starring Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, Hugh Dancy, and Rockmond Dunbar — will premiere on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

Per the official logline, the 10-episode series “follows a family at the center of a controversial cult as they struggle with relationships, faith and power. Each episode takes an in-depth look at the gravitational pull of belief and what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want.”

Paul plays Eddie Lane, a convert to the movement with a wayward past, while Monaghan portrays his wife (who’s also the org’s co-leader). Dancy, meanwhile, plays Cal Roberts, the charismatic face of The Path, entangled in a complicated relationship with Sarah and Eddie.

I hate Michelle Monaghan (I’ve seen her in True Detective, Somewhere, Eagle Eye, and Source Code, so if I’m missing some incredible performance she’s given please let me know) but I’m stoked for this series. I’m glad Aaron Paul decided to go back to TV.

Michelle Monaghan was great in Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang. Check it out. If it came out two years later (Post Iron Man), the movie would have done way better commericially.

This may be the most reasoned response to a comment on this site that I have ever seen. And, YES, everything you said is dead on. It’s a wonderful film and she’s absolutely great in it. It was poised to be the comeback vehicle for RDJ… only nobody saw it.

I will do just that. Thank you!
