Family Guy DVD Feature Sheds Light on the Show's 'Rivalry' With The Simpsons

A feud between Family Guy and The Simpsons has long been implied — Peter and Homer’s giant chicken-style brawl during last season’s crossover certainly didn’t help — but is there really any truth to the rumor?

That question, among others, is addressed in a behind-the-scenes feature on the Family Guy: Season 13 DVD box set, on sale today.

In TVLine’s exclusive clip, Alex Borstein (aka Lois Griffin) notes, “For years, the fans had always asked me, ‘Do they hate each other? Is there, like, animosity?” The answer might surprise you!

(Or not.)

Family Guy is misogynistic, offensive crap. I hope The Simpsons look down on it. (Didn’t watch the video because, you know, misogynistic, offensive crap.)

I’m guessing not really, it’s just for publicity. I tend to doubt that anyone connected to “The Simpsons” gives “Family Guy” a single thought but less a second thought.

Simpsons lost most ppls attention over a decade ago, and as far as family guy goes it’s barely staying relevant. However I don’t think the market is the same. Simpsons fans are my dad, and family guys my uncle. Dads always there for you and you can rely on that but damned it if uncle isnt better to have around
