Game of Thrones Season 6 Teaser Trailer: 'They Have No Idea What Is Going to Happen' — WATCH

“The past is already written. The ink is dry,” Game of Thrones‘ new Season 6 teaser informs us… but that doesn’t stop the HBO drama from taking us down (terrible) memory lane one more time.

Which is fitting, when you think about it, given that almost everything that has happened in the series so far was foretold in George R.R. Martin’s novels — but in upcoming episodes, as Bran says, viewers will “have no idea what is going to happen.”

In addition to Thrones‘ greatest (and toughest) hits — think Ned’s beheading, Jaime’s unhanding, etc. — we also see a warged-out Bran and Jon Snow, both alive and possibly… not.

Game of Thrones returns in April. Press PLAY on the video above, then hit the comments with your thoughts!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

    That’s just a quick flashback :(

  2. KCC says:

It looks like Bran Stark will be warging to Jon Snow and the “new” Jon might be a combination of both of them. Intriguing.

    • the girl says:

Would that work in terms of keeping Jon’s body alive? I think the theory with the Red Priestess involves using magic to bring his body back to health. How would Bran warging to Jon keep Jon from bleeding out?

  3. Mr. Tran K says:

The teaser had my heartbeat racing.

    • LDMRNJ says:

Mine too. April? April. Sigh. I think I need to replace my “countdown to vacation late Dec calendar with the “Days left to GoT” calendar. Like now. Except it’s too depressing that far off.

  4. Walkie says:

That sounded like a bit of one Max Von Sydow doing some of the voiceover. Niiiiiiice.

  5. LDMRNJ says:

April is too long to wait!!!!!

But seriously – I’m feeling like the “They have no idea what’s going to happen” is a jab at all of us and our theories. And yet I am still convinced that Jon is resurrected, ditches the wall, kicks some Bolton butt and becomes another for the iron throne as the half-Stark/half-Targaran that I’m 1000% sure he is. :)

  6. Joey says:

I just hope its better than the utter trainwreck that S5 was. At the very least I’ve got Orphan Black to look forward to.

  7. maregolden says:

Does this mean HBO is not going to push it back to May, as was previously reported?

  8. Buuz says:

Game of Thrones beer reviewed! Its good! And something to say about that book…
