First Look: Family Matters Stars Reunite in Lifetime's Flight Before Christmas

“When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but Carl and Harriette Winslow. How dear!”

Pardon my poetry, but the mere sight of Family Matters super-couple Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie Payton together again on screen is enough to send even the most stoic reporter into a fit of festive rhyme.

TVLine has an exclusive first look at the former Winslows in Lifetime’s The Flight Before Christmas (Saturday, 8/7c), which centers around a pair of harrowed holiday travelers — The Big Bang Theory‘s Mayim Bialik and Chuck‘s Ryan McPartlin — forced to spend time together when their plane is unexpectedly diverted to a small Montana town.

Bialik’s character is fresh off an unexpected break-up, so it’s probably safe to assume she’ll end up with McPartlin’s character by the close of the movie — but as long as VelJohnson and Payton’s characters get a happy ending, I’ll be satisfied.

I know that pretty much every made for TV Christmas movie is terrible in its own right, but I’m still watching this one. :) I loved Family Matters and Mayim’s great on BBT.

  2. steven says:

At least they won’t have to worry about Urkel.

  3. Susan says:

We will be watching at our house!

Picture it, “Welcome to Winslow’s” . . . and updated spinoff of “Family Matters” about Harriett and Carl Winslow, who retired from there jobs and opened up a bread and breakfast. Every week there will be different guests stars with different simultaneous storylines, like “The Love Boat” back in the day. The Winslows offer commentary and sage advice to help their guests resolve whatever issues they’re going through. You’d watch that, right?

  5. KayCeeCee says:

I’ll be watching too!! I loved their faces as Mayim’s character starts explaining the situation.
