11.22.63 Teaser: James Franco Stars in J.J. Abrams' Time-Travelling Drama

James Franco‘s the kind of guy who’s always willing to do a favor for a friend — even when that favor involves going back to 1963 and preventing the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Hulu on Thursday released the first teaser trailer for its eight-part miniseries 11.22.63, in which Franco’s Jake Epping, a seemingly mild-mannered English teacher, must travel through time to stop the aforementioned historical tragedy.

11.22.63 also stars Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones (24), Lucy Fry (Mako Mermaids), T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy) and Josh Duhamel (Battle Creek).

Based on the novel by Stephen King, 11.22.63 premieres on President’s Day 2016.

They missed the boat on the release date… instead of presidents day, they should have released it on November 22.

    Recycled and rehashed plot:

‘Running Against Time’ – 1990 TV movie
    ‘Time Quest’ – 2002 film
‘Lee Harvey Oswald’ – Season 5 two-part episode of Quantum Leap TV series
‘Tikka To Ride’ – Season 7 episode of Red Dwarf British TV series
‘Forward To Camelot’ – 2003 novel by Susan Sloate
‘Profile in Silver’ – 1986 Twilight Zone episode

I read this book and really loved it so I was excited that there was a film coming out. Then I saw that James Franco was the lead. Totally ruined it for me. I don’t know what people love about this guy. I just don’t see it. I like JJ though, maybe he can turn Franco into something. But I have serious doubts about this.

I love how this is filmed in Toronto yet Canadians don’t get Hulu and can’t watch it. 😒
